Canyon Crest Service Unit Resources
Available to All Leaders:

Bridge:
The Service Unit has a small wooden bridge that can be checked out and borrowed for troop bridging ceremonies. The bridge can fit in a van with the back seat removed. It was beautifully refurbished by Daisy Troop 8057. If interested, contact
Dana Kloo for reservations.
Juliette Low Birthplace CDs:
Are your girls interested in a trip to Savannah, GA? We have some CDs available to be checked out that portray the trip to Savannah of Troop 8292 in the Fall of 2004. The format is in the form of a Microsoft PowerPoint presentation. Highlights include visits to the Juliette Low Birthplace, the Andrew Low house, the First Girl Scout Headquarters, Christ Church (where Juliette and Andrew were married), Laurel Grove Cemetery (where Juliette and her parents are buried), Fort Jackson, visits to popular Southern restaurants, a Horse and Buggy Ghost Tour, a riverboat ride, and a visit to the River St. shopping district. Contact
Dana Kloo to check out a CD.
Chuck Box:
Do your girls want to have a cookout but lack some basic troop supplies? Until you can build up your own troop cooking equipment, the SU has a chuck box you can check out. The Chuck Box could also use a little replenishing. Contact our Activity Consultant,
Sue Eskridge, if you have items to donate or would like to use the Chuck Box.
Walkie Talkies:
Planning an encampment or other event that covers a large geographic area? Our SU has walkie talkies you can check out to keep in touch with other VIPs at your event. Contact
Sue Eskridge to borrow them.
First Aid Kit:
Another useful resource for SU events is the SU First Aid Kit. This is also available for checkout from
Sue Eskridge. Contact the First Aider for your event to see if they want to use the SU First Aid Kit. (Sometimes they prefer to use their own.) If you do use the SU kit, please make sure the contents have not expired before leaving for your activity and replace items that you use. (You can use SU funds to replace them.)
